Star Wars Day: Penguins Do the Imperial March

May 4 is called Star Wars Day (also sometimes known as Luke Skywalker Day) because of a pun on the similarity between the date, read as "May the 4th", and the beginning of the phrase "May the Force be with you", a famous quote often spoken in the Star Wars movies.

Here's what the penguins have to say about that:

Death Star Blows up the Enterprise

Ha ha. Yet another (funny and cool) clip, in which Star Wars kicks the shit out of Star Trek. This time, the Death Star destroys the Enterprise. Nice.

Star Trek VS Star Wars

Need a cheap, reliable hosting for your site? Click here!

There are a few clips that went for this theme - Star Trek VS Star Wars. It's kind of an obvious one, isn't it? Too bad everybody thinks Star Wars is better than Star Trek :) Here's another short video that "proves" it - and actually the best of its kind I have seen so far:

And while we are on the subject, check out the 10 reasons why Star Wars is better than Star Trek:

  1. In the Star Wars universe, weapons rarely, if ever, are set on "stun."
  2. The Enterprise needs a huge engine room with an anti-matter unit and a crew of twenty just to go into warp -- the Millennium Falcon does the same thing with R2-D2 and a Wookiee.
  3. After resisting the Imperial torture droid and Darth Vader Princess Leia still looked fresh and desirable. After pithy Cardassian starvation torture, Picard looked like hell.
  4. Jabba the Hutt would eat Harry Mudd for trying to cut in on his action.
  5. Luke Skywalker is not obsessed with sleeping with every alien he encounters.
  6. One word: "light sabers".
  7. The Federation would have to attempt to liberate any ship named Slave I.
  8. Darth Vader could choke the entire Borg empire with one glance.
  9. Picard pilots the Enterprise through an asteroid belt at one-quarter impulse power. Han Solo floors it.
  10. The Death Star doesn't care if a world is class "M" or not.

A Tribute to John Williams - A Capella

This lovely and geeky clips presents a fresh outlook on John Williams' music and film scores. Nicely done, especially if you loved the soundtrack of movies such as Star Wars, Indian Jones and Superman. Enjoy!

Jedi Gym

A gym for practicing lightsaber fights and the force? Oh no, there's more to it.

Wait for the end. It's worth it.

The Geekiest Clip Ever

This is probably the geekiest clip I have ever seen. I mean - a floppy disk "singing" Star Wars? Can you beat that? I also laughed, which says a lot about me, I guess. Enjoy:

Anonymous VS Scientology

This creepy-yet-cool video has popped up in YouTube, following a massive onslaught on Scientology and its sites.

The video has been recorded by a group calling itself Anonymous, who seems determined to wage war against Scientology. In the clip, Anonymous is bashing Scientology with sayings as "Your methods, hypocrisy, and the artlessness of your organization have sounded its death knell".

What exactly is planned by Anon is unclear, but the battle has obviously began. The first step was probably the distribution of the Scientology secret files (click here for torrent). The second step was the DOS attacks on Scientology sites. This clip is the third step. I'm curious to see what would come next.

Seriously Lost in Translation

What happens when you translate a Star Wars movie back and forth from English to Chinese and back to English?

You get stuff like this:

And this:

The rest of the hilarious pictures are here.
