5 Cool Food-Themed Games
These are the games you shouldn't play when you are hungry or on a diet. They are the games that make you think and deal with sushi, pizza, hamburger and cakes.
There are many food games out there. Not surprisingly, a lot of them are time management games. It seems that Diner Dash has influenced this genre of game, and a lot of them are related to restaurants and food.
Here are 5 cool and fun food related games. You can play some of them online - and download the rest.
#5
Cake Mania 1, 2 & 3
Although the graphics are not very realistic, Cake Mania is a very appetizing game. This time management game was developed in 2006 and became a big hit - which is why it has two sequels already. Your goal is to deliver cakes to the customers, as quickly as possible and without mistakes. The cakes you deliver to your customers are very colorful and lovely, and might make you thing about chocolate frosting and the smell of a cake baking in the oven. All in all - a yummy game.
#4
Papa's Pizzeria

Ahhh, pizza. The ultimate junk food, the best comfort food, the food you never get tired of. That is, until you are forced to serve it to dozens of customers a day, I guess. Papa's Pizzeria is also a time management game, which you can play online. In this game, you are required to take customer's orders, make their pizza according to their specific requests, cut it nicely - and deliver it to them. You get grades according to the accuracy in which you performed all of the requests, and the tip varies accordingly. As with many other games - it starts easy and becomes very tricky as you progress.
#3
Cooking Dash

There's no food games post without mentioning the famous Flo, I guess. Cooking Dash is yet another time management game, and is one of many sequels to Diner Dash. In Cooking Dash, you don't just serve the food - you also cook it, which makes it a very challenging game. The sounds of the kitchen realistic and it's hard to avoid thinking about deep frying, big sandwiches and sweet desserts. Cooking Dash is a fast-pace food game, for those already seasoned (ha ha) in time management games.
#2
Sushi Go Round

This is one of the sweetest, coolest online games. I keep coming back to it, since it's always challenging and fun. In Sushi Go Round, you are serving sushi to your customers. They ask for different kinds of sushi, and you have to prepare the food, remember the recipe for each sushi piece, make sure you have enough supplies, serve the food quickly and clear the plates when the clients are done eating, so new clients can have a seat. Since the sushi is served on a conveyor belt, sometimes the dish you prepare for one customer gets snatched by another, so the fun never ends. It's a great game to take your minds off of things - unless you are craving sushi, of course.
#1
Burger Shop

Burger Shop is a very cool game. It's looks like a regular time management game - serve the costumers, keep them happy, be quick etc., but it has many twists and winks, and it also feature cool music and sweet graphics. It's also one of the more challenging games in the foodish games category. Play enough time, and you will seriously crave a burger. With bacon. And cheese. And everything else, too.

8 Great Games to Improve and Practice Mouse Skills
Games are a great way for new computer users to get acquainted with this new-and-sometimes-scary environment. Games are a fun distraction, that can also help the player upgrade his or hers basic computer skills. This is true for all levels of computer users - from mere beginners to advanced users - anyone can benefit from a good game.
Recently I found myself giving computer lessons to adults over 60 years old. Some of them are totally new to the computer world. One of the most difficult skills for them to master, is the use of a mouse - pointing, clicking, double-clicking, right clicking and dragging. For regular users, it's a natural thing. For those who take their first mousy steps, it's not that obvious.
So, I have assembled a list of simple games, that don't require a lot of thinking or strategics, to help new computer users practice the basic mouse skills they need for every-day computer use.
- Bubble Shooter (Point and Click, Mouse movement and accuracy) - Serious gamers will ridicule this one, but it's a lovely, simple game that really requires just the movement of the mouse. It's also an easy, rather addictive game, which makes sure the player won't stop playing too soon.
- Solitaire (Drag and Drop) - One can only guess how many work hours have gone to waste because of this heinous game. It's not very complicated and it's great for practicing drag and drop with your mouse - a skill which isn't easy to master if you are a new computer user. It's also available on any Windows computer.
- Same Game (Double Click) - Simple and easy, and helps a user practice quick double-clicking.
- Pong (Mouse movement, Speed) - Oldie, goldie and very useful for when you need to practice mouse movement, improve working speed and enhance hand-eye connection.
- Sheep Dash (Reaction Time) - Sometimes users find it hard to connect between the eye and hand movement. This game enables the player to speed up their reaction time and to improve hand-eye connection.
- The Maze (Dragging and Accuracy) - This is a generic game that has many forms. Basically, you have to carefully drag the dot with your mouse in order to pass through the maze. It requires precision and concentration. For intermediate users.
- Music Catch 2 (Mouse movement and accuracy) - Another great game for intermediate users. It only requires of you to move around with the mouse - no clicking is necessary. However, you have to be rather quick and accurate - and it becomes more and more challenging as you advance. Plus - cool music :-)
- Diner Dash (Multitasking, Time Management and Speed) - This game is actually for more advanced users. Use it to learn time management, multi-tasking and improving the speed of your mouse movement.

10 XXX Video Games
Video games are often bashed for having a bad influence on children (and adults) because they contain gruesome violence, nudity or both. Gametrailers - the game trailers site - has put together a video with the most inappropriate video games around. Enjoy! :)

A Sunday Brain Teaser
Most casual games aren't really meant to make you think. They are good for passing time, mostly with no brain challenge at all.
Z-Rox, a sweet little game I have discovered in Kongregate today, is a bit different. It looks simple and unsophisticated, but it's a real brain teaser that makes you think out of the box (even if you don't have a box).
The purpose of the game is to guess which letter, shape or number are presented to you. It sounds simplistic - but it's not that easy. The music is also pretty cool, and so this game is a refreshing new perspective on casual games. Try and enjoy!

Racism in a Miniclip Game?
I just found myself in front of Miniclip - something that I haven't done since my addiction to Sushi-Go-Round. Not that Miniclip is a bad site or anything. It's just that sites like Kongregate and Armor Games are more to my taste.
Anyway, I went to see what's new in the casual games arena, and came across a game called China 2008 - a quick Olympics game for those who miss this genre of games (like me). The game is pretty cool, but that's not the point. After a quick game, I went back to the opening screen, where you have to choose your player. The game presents you with 4 athletes with stupid names, but the thing that caught my attention was this. The only Afro-American player of the four, was curiously named "Outsider". Hint? Coincidence? Racism? Who knows. Here's a screenshot, so you can see for yourself:

Spore Penis Creatures and Monsters
Spore is an eagerly awaited computer game, which is generating a lot of interest around the web. While we wait for the real deal, the developers released all kinds of previews and demos, in which the players can start creating creatures.
Which, of course, makes for a lot of genitalia-related creatures. In other words - boys will be boys, and YouYube is full of stupid clips of creatures with a huge penis, and even creatures that are in the form of a penis. Here are some hilarious examples:
The Dancing Spore Penis
The Spore Penis Monster
Spore Penis Goblin
Spore Penis Creature
The Jumping Spore Penis Creature
Somehow related, and funny as hell, although it's rather old now - check out Robin Williams playing Spore. The funnies man on earth.

The Zombies are Back! Boxhead has a New Game
Boxhead released a new game - Boxhead: The Zombie Wars. If you ever played one of their previous zombie games, you know how addictive and violent they could get. Violent in taking away your time, that is.
Things are a bit more complicated in this new game, which involves new enemies, new weapons and a whole new barricade-mode game. It's not easy. It's fast-moving and full of action. It's going to kill my weekend and I have a lot of things to do!!!
Damn :)
